The Prague Rattler or Prazsky Krysarik is a Czech purebred dog that used to be used for catching rats and mice. Today it is a real companion dog. He is very obedient and loyal to his owner. He is suspicious of strangers but very affectionate towards his family. This inquisitive and social family dog can be raised well with children. Please note that small children are not too wild with him because he has a fragile base.
A Prague Rattler is one of the smaller breeds. It has a lean, muscular body with a firm back, a long head and a fine muzzle. Its triangular, large, straight ears are somewhat bat-like. He has a black nose and round, dark eyes that match his coat in color. The adult Rattler is between 20 and 23 cm high and weighs around 2.6 kg. The Prazsky Krysarik has a short, smooth coat. Preferably it is black with reddish brown. But black, blue or lilac with chocolate brown or red and merle are also allowed. The Prague Rattler has no undercoat.
